The Black Course at Bethpage State Park won't close for final preparations for The Barclays until Monday, August 6, but the park has already started to cut down on available tee times as the tournament looms less than a month away. From now until the course's closing early next month, golfers have until 3 p.m.

Management at the links-style Gil Hanse design announced recently that Jonathan Semmig is the course's new super after four years as the assistant superintendent at the Atlantic Golf Club in Bridgehampton.
