Golf On Long Island received a tip from reader John Usher that the West Sayville Golf Course has already packed it in for the 2014 season. The Suffolk County-owned course typically reopens in mid-March. Meanwhile, there is still more than a week to get some swings in at Timber Point Golf Course in Great River.
The last day to play golf this season at either the Brentwood Country Club or Holbrook Country Club is this Sunday, December 14. Afterward, the two Town of Islip courses will close the curtain on the 2014 season and resume play in March. Make sure to print out a copy of the courses' autumn coupon.
