Bethpage Black opens April 15, Green Course remains closed

The Black Course at Bethpage State Park will open for the 2026 season on April 15. Online reservations for the course will be available starting tonight on the New York State Parks website.

Black’s reopening next week means four of the park’s five courses will be operating as usual by mid-April, though some remain limited following last September’s Ryder Cup. Only the Green Course remains closed, and for now there is no target date for its return to the rotation. Holes #1 and #18 on the Green Course were covered last fall by Ryder Cup pavilions and concession areas, and other parts of the course interior were used for staff parking and other purposes.

Currently, the Yellow Course is open for a composite nine holes only, as large sections of the back nine were used as a Ryder Cup transportation depot and for player practice areas. The opening hole on the Red Course continues to play as a shortened par-3.

Over on the driving range, installation of new and much taller poles is underway as the facility transforms into a high-tech Inrange practice area that will finally allow drivers. The Inrange system features ball-tracking data and swing analysis along with social components. Tentative opening date for the range is April 29.
