The one shining light from this winter’s severely abbreviated golf season — besides the blinding ricochet of sunshine off barely melted ice sheets — is Long Island’s robust indoor-golf scene. The region has never had a deeper roster of indoor venues for playing, practicing, learning and competing, all combined at many places with eating, drinking and entertainment.
So unlike years past, weeks of snow cover doesn’t spell the end of a golfing offseason. Here is a list of indoor venues currently open to players, with a brief description of services.
NASSAU COUNTY
Back Nine (Lawrence): Small studio at Lawrence Village Country Club with two simulators, snacks and food delivery.
Golfzon Range by David Leadbetter (Westbury): Features 18 simulators with 250+ courses, plus access to the Golfzon app with video tracking and analysis. Lessons and classes available.
Island Greens (Franklin Square): Self-service facility offering Uneekor simulators in lounge-style bays, with leagues, tournaments and membership benefits available.
John Ondrush Golf & Fitness Academy (Syosset): Golf-focused training facility with four simulators, lessons, personal training and Club Champion fittings and builds.
Lab 18 (Roslyn): Eight hitting bays with Trackman 4 technology and 400+ courses, plus a PuttView putting green. On-site tournaments, events and a bar/lounge area. (*Membership required)
Long Beach Coffee & Tee (Long Beach): Three hitting bays in a cafe setting that features a full coffee bar, cocktail bar and house-baked desserts. Also offers live music, 20+ TVs and themed events.
PGA Tour Superstore (Westbury): Six hitting bays with Foresight technology. Lessons, fittings, repairs and other services available.
Pinnacle Golf Center (Rockville Centre): Longtime golf venue with simulator play, lessons and a putting green. Membership benefits available.
The Pursuit Golf Outpost (Seaford): Two simulators with 1,500+ courses and AI-assisted swing analysis. Also features a small putting area, lessons and events.
Spring Rock Golf Center (New Hyde Park): Hourly rentals available for Ultra Vision 2 and Spin Sensor simulators. Part of the Spring Rock driving range, which is open year-round.
X-Golf (Westbury): Golf and sports-bar venue with eight simulators, TVs and food/drink specials. Leagues and in-house/nationwide tournaments are available, as well as lessons, clinics and fittings.
SUFFOLK COUNTY
Big Indoor Golf (Farmingdale): Hourly rentals available for ultra-wide hitting bays with Trackman simulators.
Birdies (Patchogue): Two-level sports bar and grill offering six simulators and a full food and drink menu. Also features rotating live-music, Happy Hour and gameday specials, plus leagues and lessons.
Calverton National (Calverton): Three hitting bays with Trackman simulators. Membership and lesson packages available.
Endless Round (Mattituck): Four hitting bays with Trackman simulators, plus leagues and events. Lessons are available with certified professionals from several East End clubs.
The Experience LI (Hauppauge): Formerly known as Simplay, this event space offers six golf and multisport simulators, golf leagues and a food/drink menu.
Four Seasons (Southampton): Lounge-style studio with a simulator, pool table, darts and TVs. Located at the Southampton Golf Range.
Golf Galaxy (Bay Shore): In-store rentals available for Trackman simulators. Play full rounds and challenges or book lessons.
Golf Lounge 18 (Lake Grove): Spacious mall venue with 11 simulators, 450+ courses, a food menu and a large bar area. Leagues, lessons and other golf events available.
Modern Links (Port Jefferson): Three hitting bays, a PuttView putting green and a lounge area in a studio with 24/7 access. (*Membership required)
