American Patriot Heroes Fund Outing, June 15 at Stonebridge Golf Links

Spend a Monday on one of Long Island's most challenging public
courses — and try to win a Corvette in the process — by registering
for the fourth annual Dix Hills Basketball Association (DHBA) Golf Classic,
which tees off on June 7 at the Hamlet Willow Creek Golf and Country Club in Mount
Sinai.  Proceeds from the event will support the many DHBA programs
available to children in the community.

IMG_1773 The Classic begins with a
brunch at 11 a.m. and ends with a dinner and awards ceremony in the
evening.  The golf outing will be played in scramble format.  On-course
events include a $1 Million Shot, 2010 Corvette Hole-in-One Contest,
Beat the Pro, and long-drive and closest-to-the-pin challenges.  Prizes
and raffles will be available after the round.

Entry fee is $250
per golfer.  To register as a player or sponsor, visit the event website.

Designed
by Stephen Kay, Hamlet Willow Creek opened for play in 2005 on a
triangular slice of Suffolk County that could easily stand in for a
Floridian golf course in a travel magazine.  It is one of Long Island's
most visually impressive golf destinations — public or private.  With
intimidating water hazards and fast, sloping greens, it is also among
the Island's most formidable layouts.  The slope rating of 133 ranks
behind only Bethpage Black, Montauk Downs and Rock Hill.
