Originally slated to close for the 2010 season on Sunday, November 14, the Black Course at Bethpage State Park will instead remain open into the second half of November and possibly beyond. Considering last weekend's warm weather and the favorable conditions still present at area courses, the Black still has plenty of fair and challenging golf to offer this fall.
The decision to extend the season or close the curtain will be made by Bethpage management on a weekly basis.
