Players of all ages can learn, relearn or brush up on fundamentals this spring at Harbor Links Golf Course in Port Washington as part of a bevy of programs geared toward junior players and adults.
Junior programs have already begun under the direction of James Hong, a Top 50 Junior Instructor as selected by the U.S. Kids Golf Foundation. Adult programs are set to begin next week at the Harbor Links practice facility, which was featured recently for its selection to Golfing Magazine's 2011 Long Island Dream Golf Club.
Registration is open for spring junior programs that run from mid-April to mid-May in five weekly sessions. These include instruction at the practice facility and on the course, plus classes on rules and etiquette. After-school weekday programs are $250 per child; weekend programs are $285. A three-day April recess special is also available. Check the Harbor Links website for details and schedules for all junior programs.
Adult players can do more than just drop off their kids at the course. Clinics are open to beginners and intermediate players on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays this month. Each 60- to 75-minute session is $35 per player. Starting April 9, clinics covering different clubs and skills will be offered Monday through Friday. Visit the Harbor Links site for details.
