With snow on the ground and more in the forecast, Brentwood Country Club and Holbrook Country Club have shut down for the season a few days ahead of schedule. The two Town of Islip golf courses planned to remain open this week until December 15, but instead closed early due to sub-freezing temps and snowy conditions.
Their usual mid-March reopenings are tentatively scheduled for March 14.
