Pine Ridge Golf Club is getting into the seasonal spirit with an Oktoberfest golf outing scheduled to tee off at noon on Saturday, October 22. The event is sponsored by Montauk Brewing Company, which will be pouring some of its beers both during and after the round.
Entry fee is $80 per player and $300 for a foursome, and includes dinner and drinks as well as on-course contests. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. Sign up at the Pine Ridge website.
Now in its tenth year in Coram, Pine Ridge weaves through the area's native pines and offers one of the Island's more serene public-golf experiences. A rugged stretch of par-4s and par-5s on the back nine challenges even the strongest players.
Like Pine Ridge, Montauk Brewing is also relatively new to Long Islanders. Its tasting room is just a block north of Montauk's village center, and its brews have become more and more common in Long Island bars and beer distributors since its debut in 2012. Learn more at the Montauk Brewing website.
