There are signs of spring after all — golf course reopening dates.
St. Patrick’s Day is typically the unofficial reopening day for Long Island’s seasonal golf courses, but a true winter complete with blizzards and subzero temps has changed the outlook in 2026.
Nevertheless, Long Island’s golf courses are preparing to launch for spring, even it’s wet and muddy at the start. Given the snow cover that’s still lingering, it might take until mid-March just to get a full view of the opening schedule. By the turn to April, most courses should be open for play, barring the usual late starters like Bethpage Black and Eisenhower Red.
The following is a list of tentative 2026 opening dates for Long Island’s seasonal golf courses. (Given the extended course closures since January, year-round courses are included in this list with a specific reopening date, if available.) Courses will be added or updated as information becomes available. Be sure to check back through March for the latest info.
