Registration is open for the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship, an annual event that gives junior golfers the opportunity to put their golf skills to the test and compete for a prized spot at Augusta National next spring on the eve of the 2027 Masters. For Long Island juniors, the road to Georgia begins this summer at three 2026-27 qualifying sites — Harbor Links in Port Washington, Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park and the private Colonial Springs Golf Club in Farmingdale.

Boys and girls from age 7 to 15 are eligible to participate in Drive, Chip & Putt. The first local qualifier is scheduled for July 2 at Sunken Meadow, followed by events on July 8 at Harbor Links and July 14 at Colonial Springs. After the local stage, top performers will move on to a Drive, Chip & Putt sub-regional qualifier at Bethpage State Park on August 20. The final stage is a regional qualifier at Quaker Ridge Golf Club in Westchester. Winners there will join a group of 80 nationwide finalists — 40 boys and 40 girls — to compete for the championship at Augusta National next April.
The event, which is made possible by the United States Golf Association, the PGA of America and the Masters Tournament, is free to enter, and no level of proficiency is required. Players accumulate points for performance in driving, chipping and putting challenges.
Complete competition rules, eligibility requirements and scoring outlines are available at the Drive, Chip & Putt website.
