Non-resident rates rise at Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course in Woodbury

The Town of Oyster Bay has raised rates on green fees and memberships for non-residents in an effort to increase revenue at its municipal golf course in Woodbury, Newsday reported last month.

Membership rates for non-residents increased by close to 40 percent when the town adopted a new 2017 fee schedule in early April, while green fees jumped from $41 to $50 for weekday rounds and from $55 to $65 on weekends.  Memberships, now $500 for those outside Oyster Bay and $350 for non-resident seniors, provide golfers access to tee times and reduced green and cart fees.

Resident rates are unchanged under the new fee schedule, which is expected to bring in up to $15,000 in additional annual revenue for the town, according to Newsday.
