UPDATE: The Glen Cove City Council approved the fee increases, per Newsday.
Rates at the municipal Glen Cove Golf Club will rise up to $2 under a proposal currently under review by the City Council, Newsday reported this morning.
The proposed rate increases include a $1 hike in green fees, motor-cart rentals and reservation rates, as well as a $2 jump in guest and twilight fees. Course administrator Ed Bogan told Newsday the increases would bring in $40,000 to $50,000 in new revenue.
A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, January 12 at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.
The par-67 Glen Cove muni course is the only public layout that plays along the water on Nassau County's north shore. For more on the course, check out the Glen Cove flyover.
