Newsday and Patch.com reported Wednesday that at least one person broke into a garage at The Golf Club at Middle Bay in Oceanside last weekend, resulting in damage to golf carts, course fences and landscaping.
The break-in occurred around 6:00 a.m. Saturday, according to Newsday. Several motor carts were removed from a storage area and driven around the course, causing approximately $75,000 worth of damage to the vehicles and course grounds. The Nassau County Police Department is working to identify the vandals. Anyone with information regarding the damage should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-8477.
