Timber Point’s Blue Course reopens, all 27 holes now open for play

The Blue Course at Timber Point has made its 2013 debut, just a few months later than normal.  The waterside nine and home of the Gibraltar par-3 is open again at the Great River course, bringing the 27-hole facility to full capacity for the first time since last year.  Blue's bayside holes were heavily damaged by Hurricane Sandy in October.

Timber Point golf director Andy Carracino says there are local rules currently in place that allow improved lies and relief from ground under repair.  Greens are in decent shape, though #5 is still healing from storm damage.  Most player feedback so far during the Blue's recovery has been positive.
