The 2012 golf season has begun at Tallgrass Golf Course. The Shoreham course opened for play today, one week after Golfweek ranked it ninth in its annual list of Best Courses You Can Play in New York.
The Gil Hanse design is a wind-swept, links-style layout that requires some creativity with the entire bag. Once the tall grass arrives later in the season, scoring opportunities dwindle.
