Mill Pond to host St. Patrick’s Day (Eve) Golf Classic

Hard to believe, but the first holiday golf outing of the new season is within sight.  Even better, it includes corned beef and an open bar.

IMG_0947aMill Pond's St. Patrick's Day Golf Classic will actually tee off the morning before on Friday, March 16, but golfers can still celebrate like it's the real holiday.  After all, it is the unofficial start of Long Island's public outing season.  The Classic's $59 entry fee includes golf, cart, range balls, Irish buffet and drinks, plus the chance to win individual and team prizes.  Format for the Classic is four-person scramble (non-foursomes will be paired with other players).  Visit the Mill Pond pro shop or call (631) 732-8249 to register.

Shotgun start is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.  Food and drinks will follow at 3:00.  There is no rain date.

Medford's Mill Pond Golf Course is a relatively short, wind-swept par-70 that falls a pitch short of 6,000 yards from the middle tees.  For more information, check out the course flyover.
