What's scarier — Halloween ghosts and goblins, or a bogey on a par-5 in a team scramble? Thanks to the Crab Meadow Golf Course, you and your playing partners can settle that debate between yourselves while putting to save par at the course's holiday Trick Or Treat Outing next Monday, October 31.
The Halloween scramble will begin with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start, preceded by breakfast and range balls, then followed by beer, wine and snacks. Entry is $65 per player and includes cart, range and a shot at prizes. Best costume plays for free. Call the course at (631) 757-8800 to register.
Crab Meadow is a hilly and scenic 18 near the Long Island Sound in Northport. The eighth, a relatively short par-5 with out-of-bounds pinching close to the fairway on both sides and a pond in front of the green, is the course's signature hole.
