Poxabogue Golf Center is in the local papers again, and for once it's not related to its past management and restaurant issues. The New York Times profiled the nine-hole course — "the people's golf course" of the Hamptons — and the adjoining cafe/gathering spot in its "Neighborhood Joint" series back in late July.
The Times calls the recently renovated facility a throwback to a simpler time when the East End was less glitzy and everyone was treated like a regular.

And it also spotlights the cooking and colorful locals at Dan Murray's on-site restaurant, which reopened this year after a lengthy lease dispute and renovation.
