Brentwood, Holbrook extend specials through August

The Long Island-based Global Recreation Network and its national association, USSSA, are giving junior golfers from ages 9 to 18 the opportunity to compete locally and on a national stage with their Junior Golf Championship Tour, which comes to Mill Pond Golf Course in Medford this weekend, July 30-31.

This two-day, 36-hole event will be broken down into three age groups (9-11, 12-14 and 15-18), with the winner of each group receiving a berth into the National Tour Championship at Mystic Dunes in Florida this August.  All participants will receive a USSSA Golf shirt.  For more information, contact Ray Coyne at (631) 482-3264, ext. 701, or e-mail ray.coyne@globalrec.net.

USSSA, a leading national sports association best known for slow-pitch softball, gives amateur athletes the chance to compete in local and national championships in a growing number of sports.  USSSA's Junior Golf Championship Tour is one of the association's newest offerings.  Based in Mount Sinai, Global Recreation Network runs USSSA events and tournaments on Long Island, including adult softball, youth baseball and junior golf.
