The Great Rock Golf Club in Wading River is offering hard-to-beat winter rates to match the quickly dropping temperature readings. Play 18 holes with cart during the week for just $29, or walk for $19. On weekends, the rate is $49 to ride, $39 to walk.
Highly regarded for its pristine conditions, the course and its greens remain in prime shape even as the winter chill approaches. Great Rock's 12th green is currently undergoing a renovation that will be completed by spring 2011. A temporary surface will be used during the winter season.
