There's a Black Friday bargain waiting for area golfers at the end of the Long Island Expressway in Riverhead, and it's not at the Tanger Outlets.
While the rest of the Island either shops or sleeps in, golfers with a tolerance for whipping, late-autumn winds on the North Fork can find a decent deal at the Long Island National Golf Club. The Robert Trent Jones Jr. layout is offering 18 holes and lunch for $59 on Friday, November 26.
A links-style course that opened for play in 1999, Long Island National has a four-star rating from Golf Digest, and its par-4 12th hole was selected in 2008 to Golfing Magazine's Long Island Dream Golf Club.
