Fall is always a great season — maybe even the best — to enjoy a few hours on the course. With little rain falling and the mercury rising as high as the 70s, the Fall of 2010 may go down as one of the best in recent years.
By now, most courses are offering special rates that allow golfers to remain outdoors and on the fairways at discount prices. The grass is green, leaves are aglow and course conditions are typically as fantastic as they were all Summer.
Here is a sample of some of the great deals to be found across the Island (all rates shown include cart):
- Mill Pond: $42 until noon on weekdays; $52 until noon on weekends ($40/50 for town residents)
- Pine Ridge: $49 all day, Monday through Friday
- Great Rock: $49 until 2 p.m. on weekdays and after 1 p.m. on weekends
- Tallgrass: $40 after 2 p.m. on weekends
