The Great Rock Golf Club in Wading River is making it easier for golfers to play their cut shots and slice their king cuts, all without loading clubs back in the trunk. A "Nine & Dine" special, available every day after 3 p.m., combines a half-round on one of Long Island's newest courses with dinner at its upscale, Zagat-rated steakhouse.

Opened for play in 2001, Great Rock is a hilly shotmaker's course on Suffolk County's north shore. The uphill par-4 10th, with the course's namesake rock next to the green, is a member of Golfing Magazine's Long Island Dream Club and Newsday's Dream 18. Blackwells was also recognized by Golfing Magazine as one of Long Island's best on-course restaurants.
